I GO TO BROADWATER SAILING CLUB.SOMETIMES I GO ON TRAINING DAYS AND SOME TIMES I GO RACING. LAST SEASON I STARTED RACING AWAY FROM BROADWATER FOR THE FIRST TIME SEE SAILING PAGE 2
I was first junior in the Broadwater Spring regatta back in April .
Then in May I went to HOAC for the selection races to be in the Hillingdon team for the London Youth games--I was amazed to win every race.
Mum and Dad bought a Tinker Traveller for the Chichester cruise at the end of May. the weather was not kind to us this year and we were unable to sail on the Sunday as planned. Those who could remained and managed to get on the water on the Monday and we discovered that the traveller was incompatible with a Force 6 and me and James in Ziggy were hit by the largest stationary yacht in the harbour and learnt some new words!!
Dad got me to help with teaching some Heathfield girls to sail at HOAC.
I couldn't do the London Youth as I broke my leg and all I could do at Broadwater fun week was help with the rescue boat as my leg was still encased in a below the knee plaster. This gave Laura the opportunity to give Ziggy a good try out!!
